Thousands of global events celebrating The United Nations annual September 21st International Day of Peace.

Los Angeles, California - September 09, 2009 - The UN's Sept. 21st International Day of Peace will be celebrated in over 190 countries this year (event dates vary). Activities include Comedy Shows in 55 locations, Music Concerts, School Activities, Prayer Vigils, Jane Goodall's giant peace dove flying worldwide in over 60 cities, activities at the UN, and in some cases the military putting down their weapons for the day!

Peace Day honors peace heroes and empowers communities to celebrate victories for peace that will inspire a new generation of Peace Thinkers, Teachers and Leaders comparable to Earth Day's encouragement of environmentalism. It is a day of non-violence with a call for a ceasefire.

To gain attention for Peace Day www.thinkPEACE.net is promoting "Stand-Up For International Peace" at 55 comedy clubs worldwide
(a night of comedy in recognition of The United Nations' International Day of Peace).
 
"Stand-Up For International Peace" audiences can expect top-notch comedic talent with an ongoing acknowledgement of the UN's International Day of Peace.
