The thinkPEACE Network's Primary Peace Promoting Goals:


1) To promote the United Nations' annual September 21st
                              "International Day of Peace"

Peace Day will inspire a new generation of peace thinkers, teachers and leaders in the same way that Earth Day  encouraged environmentalism.


2) To promote the idea that teaching young people about peace is more  important than teaching young people about wars, generals and conquerors.

What peace heroes (that have resolved conflict using non-violence) do your children learn about in their school?

It is essential that we bring Peace Day to our schools to allow learning and inspiration to begin. Young people will become our new Peace Leaders. They need to be inspired by past and current Peace Heroes.


3) To promote the ideal that WORLD PEACE IS POSSIBLE !!!

It will take a while, but peace is where mankind needs to advance.

Look at it this way:
At one point people believed the Earth was flat, that landing a man on the moon was impossible and that the Berlin wall would never come down.

WE NEED TO BEGIN TO THINK AND TEACH THAT WORLD PEACE IS POSSIBLE!
